NOTICE TO THE MARKET
São Paulo, May 31, 2019: Braskem S.A. ("Company" or "Braskem") (B3: BRKM3, BRKM5 and BRKM6; OTC: BRKMY; LATIBEX: XBRK), complementing the Material Fact dated May 27, 2019, hereby informs its shareholders and the market that it signed, on the date hereof, the leniency agreement with the Office of the Federal Controller General (CGU) and the Office of the General Counsel of the Federal Government (AGU) ("CGU/AGU Agreement").
The CGU/AGU Agreement, in the amount of approximately R$2.9 billion, to be adjusted by the SELIC rate, addresses the same facts that are the object of the Global Settlement executed in December 2016 with the Brazilian Federal Prosecution Office (MPF), the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Swiss Office of the Attorney General ("Global Settlement"). Of this amount, approximately R$2.5 billion will be offset by the amount that Company already had undertaken to pay under the scope of the Global Settlement, resulting in an additional disbursement of approximately R$410 million, to be paid in two installments in 2024 and 2025.
